Getting started will vary on how you think your services will be paid for:
*Medicaid (Medical Assistance): The first thing you need to do is contact your county office to find out if you financially qualify for medical assistance. If you do, the next thing that will happen is a public health nurse will come to your home to assess you to see if you need home health services and how much. If you do need services, you will pick a home health agency that you would like to receive services from. Your social worker will contact the home health agency and then the home health agency will contact you to get services started.
*Private Pay: Call the home health agency you would like to receive home health services from and they will direct you from there.
*VA (Veterans Affairs): Call your local VA office and see if you qualify for services.
* Private Insurance: Please contact your provider to see if you qualify for services.
* Long Term Care Insurance: Please contact your provider to see if you qualify for services.
